New Town Fountain

Our town build in a new fountain as part of their huge renovation of the downtown area. On a hot day it was the perfect place to cool down. 

3rd Grade Playdate

We set up an outing to the park with some of Ryan's friends during Spring Break. Ella and Stanley and the three Mason kids had a good time climbing trees, searching for Easter Eggs, playing on the playground and generally just running around like maniacs. It's sad to think they won't all be in the same class next year!

Rising Up NIght

The kids school is a Montessori school, which means that they only switch classrooms after a three year cycle. Ryan has been in his classroom now for 2.5 years, he is now on his way to upper elementary. His lower elementary teachers Vaish and Ayomi have been so great, so that part of leaving will be really hard. The good news about moving up is that Ryan and his classmates are ready.
Last week his school hosted a moving up night for rising upper elementary families. I got to hear all about the program differences and some things to expect in the transition. I'm not going to lie, I think it will be a harder transition for me. I have grown very attached to C2, but I'm sure I will feel the same about his class next year. In upper elementary, they do two overnight field trips, they get two days of Spanish, they can join chorus, they have homework, the expectations are a lot higher, but they get new privileges that comes along with that. So far Ryan is really excited, I hope he keeps that and I hope that whoever his teachers are next year will support him as much as his teachers have for the last 3 years.
