Home Repairs

We have had a heck of a month with our house. First the AC went out- we had to replace some caps and refill the until with refrigerant. Then our dishwasher died- it just stopped cleaning and was making terrible noises, we had already fixed it once and it wasn't worth doing again so we had to get another one. Then the toilet plunger broke and finally our microwave died. By the time we hit the microwave we didn't want to spend a ton of money on installation so we did it ourselves. It was a beast of a project. Who knew that microwaves were so heavy? After hours and pains we did it and it's great... next time I think we will probably hire someone! Hopefully that is it for home repairs at least for a little bit of time.

Parker Dinner

The Parkers came over for a Memorial Day get together today. There was even a break in torrential rain to cookout! Kenzie even made a friend in Teagan. She has never taken to another child outside of our family so much, she even left me to go play in a different room with her. They were together for over and hour, laughing and playing. Ryan and Tyler played video games and Nerf Guns and Audrey went back and forth between the two groups. 

Planetarium with Uncle David

For Ryan's birthday Uncle David and Aunt Meg took him (and Audrey and myself) to the planetarium at UNC. WE at lunch first at top of the hill, then saw the Magic Tree House Movie at the Planetarium and then ate astronaut ice cream. Ryan really enjoyed and it all but I think his favorite part was hanging out with Uncle David. 

Graduation Robes

About a week ago Cary Academy had their graduation for the class of 2016. I was able to wear my law school robe for the first time ever (they actually had to order it for me). When my law school graduation came around I was giving birth to Ryan in North Carolina so obviously i wasn't there. I actually didn't attend my college graduation either so it was the first time since I graduated from Cary Academy myself in 2000 that I had worn a gown to a graduation.

Audrey Almost 6 Trips Around The Sun

Audrey had her birthday celebration in class also... since her birthday is in July we wanted to be able to celebrate before she got out of school. 

Ryan's 8 Trips Around The Sun

Ryan had his classroom birthday celebration "Trips Around the Sun".. we show pictures from every year of his life and then we gave everyone Popsicle, it was a great time and a nice way to celebrate with his friends. 

Audrey's Class

I was able to sit in Audrey's room for a few minutes this morning before a meeting I had, it was great to see her working! She is a smart cookie and she really enjoys it. The other picture is Ryan with his new roller skates that he got for his birthday.
