Ryan the Photographer

Ryan discovered photography today. He loves it, and after the first few he really started looking for things that would photograph well. He even got the focus and the zoom (which is hard on my big camera). I didn't help him with any of these pictures he did them completely by himself.  We went to a great place to learn, the NCState Arboretum- he did not want to leave!

Summer Begins #1 HIking

In honor of summer starting (anything after Memorial Day in my mind) we are going to do 30 things that are not are in our routine- either new activities or new locations. 

For the first day we went hiking at Umstead Park. It was nice to get outside before the summer heat really begins!

Non-Busy Pictures

We as a family are very busy. It seems I am always in the car- there is always a mile long to-do list. Yesterday I just didn't want to do anything- so we hung out at home. It was the first time in months I didn't get in my car, at least until t-ball at 5:45pm. The kids played outside, we made bread, I did laundry and Audrey found a turtle. The lack of things to do allowed me time to take pictures of the kids- which they hated but I love.  I hope that we are able to have more days like this before Ryan starts kindergarten! 

Ryan's 5th Birthday Party

Museum of Life and Science

For Ryan's birthday we headed out for a morning at the Life and Science Museum. We had a great time (until the epic meltdown when we stayed too long). Hopefully we all get a little rest before Ryan's special birthday dinner out!
