Happy Halloween

Rock Star Mom Day

Sometimes as a parent you have a rock star day- where you set up/ let your kids do way more then they usually get to do. Sunday was that day for me. Don was out of town which makes it even more impressive. We started out by going to a corn maze/ farm called Green Acres- we went on a hayride, played in bounce houses, did the corn maze, rode a mini train, played on a giant spider web and had a picnic lunch outside on a picnic table. We went from there to Walmart where the kids got to start compiling a Christmas list in the toy section. Finally we attended a birthday party for one of Audrey's school friends at an indoor bounce house (which of course included cake!).  we were out of the house from 11-5 needless to say when we got home we were all exhausted, but it made for a good nights sleep with no wake ups from anyone!

Halloween Party

The Herrons threw their annual Halloween party and it was even more fun this year because it was held at their new house! We played lots of games, ate lots of food and loaded ourselves up with lots of candy. Good times! 

State Fair

I went to the state fair without the kids this year! I went with my friends Neha and Mark- it is a very different experience without the kids. We had a great time eating lots of fried food (the picture is of a piece of fried cheesecake- they also ordered- fried mac and cheese, fried milky way, fried Reese's, fried brownie and a corn dog... they were out of control) and we even went on a Ferris wheel. The weather was perfect and we got out of there just as it got overwhelmingly crowded. 

Pumpkin Decorating

It is that time of year- the one where I force my kids to clean out their pumpkins (which they loathe) and take pictures of them as they squirm. Then I let them paint them, my kids covered in paint makes me squirm so I figure we are even when all is said and done.

Hill Ridge Farms

We had a very "fall" day today- even with the temperature being almost 90 degrees. We went to a Hill Ridge Farms which has hay rides, pumpkin picking, hay barns you can play in, pig/duck/ goat races, train rides, unhealthy food, and so much more. We had a great time and headed out right as it started to get crowded. Now if the weather would cooperate it might actually start to feel like fall!
