Day Two of Snow

We have had such a good time with the snow the last two days! Today the weather was a lot better, instead of ice pellets we had real snow. The whole neighborhood came out for sledding and snowballs. 

Snow Day!

It's a snow day! Okay it's more of a "icy rain grossness" day but it does mean that we didn't have to leave the house today. Well Don left the house to buy a video game from Best Buy and pick up Chinese food but the rest of us got to alternate between PJs and Snow pants all day! Kenzie stayed inside because... well it's pretty miserable out there but the other two kids went sledding with the neighbors for a long time.

My Birthday

Yesterday was my birthday! It was nice and relaxing and just what I needed. I usually don't love my birthday but this year Don and I both took off work and hung out, we went out to breakfast in Raleigh, I got my haircut and we put together a dresser for Kenzie. I know it sounds crazy to put together furntiure on your birthday but it was fun putting it together with him and it always feels good to accomplish things from our to-do list. Tonight is dinner with the family. 

Birthday Party Zip Line

We went to our neighbors birthday party last weekend. The kids had so much fun, how cool is it that our neighbors have a zip line in their backyard? Happy Birthday Cedar! 

One on One Time

Last weekend I was able to take both the older kids out for a little one on one time. Audrey got to go out for manicures. Ryan decided to go out for hot chocolate and board games. They both had a good time and it was nice to be able to talk to them and hang out without distractions. 

Kenzie's New School Schedule

Kenzie has started "full day" school 4 days a week. I pick her up at 2:45pm so she stays through lunch and nap. So far it has been successful though after her first week she is now sick. Hopefully she kicks it before next week!
