Brunch at Grandma's

We actually left the house today! We went to brunch at Grandma's house. My dad was in town so we spent the morning eating and playing. Don stayed at home and worked on the house... but at least some of us got out!

To The Market We Go

Our house is going on the market next Friday... at least that's the goal. Getting the house ready is a full time job and with taking care of the kids at the same time it feels like I have done nothing else in the last few weeks.  I'll be back to the land of the living soon!

Playdate

We were housebound today because we had a stove delivery set up. Luckily we had some friends come over to help keep the kids busy. Everyone seemed to have a good time and at the end of it we have a fancy new stove! 

Moving on Out

It's been a week since I posted anything which for me is pretty long- but even stranger is that I haven't taken any pictures! The truth is I've been really busy. We decided to list our house. It's exciting and scary and totally overwhelming. We have a lot of stuff. I mean A LOT of stuff. Packing everything up and cleaning everything up is a really big job and that's just to get to the point of being ready to list. I've been looking at listings for other houses which is making the process bearable because the thought of change and what is out there is pretty exciting. It's a good time for us to move because in a year and a half Ryan starts school and we want to be settled somewhere before that. Posting on here might be slow going until we finish up making the house ready but it will be worth it in the end (at least that's what I have to tell myself).

Husband of the Year

Would you like to know what every wife and mother wants to hear? (men take note)

I know that women want to hear these things because today my husband left notes all over the house with these sentiments on them. I not only have two great kids but an amazing husband also.  Being a parent is hard- having a supportive partner makes it so much better.

Boxes

We own lots of toys- our house tends to feel more like a decked out preschool then a home. No matter what we have though it seems that the kids always choose to play in the boxes- isn't that always the case?

SuperBowl

This year our team (The Patriots) were in the Superbowl so Don was very excited... I used to watch football before children but haven't really since. We invited 2 other families over so the kids all had a great time. You can imagine it was kind of insane with 6 adults and 6 children trying to watch anything on TV but it was a lot of fun. The Patriots lost, but it was an exciting game and we are always thankful to have such good company.

We had some pictures taken a few weeks ago by Heather Swanner. It's always questionable if you will get any good pictures (where everyone is looking in direction of the camera), but they turned out really well. I really like them! Enjoy.
