Mason Family Visit/ Life and Science Museum

This week we have Don's family visiting us from Massachusetts. It's great having everyone together. Today we went to the Life and Science Museum to wear all the kids out so the afternoon will likely be spent playing video games and hanging out around the house. The kids are in Heaven having their cousin around to play with.

Summer Chaos

The last week has been crazy busy-
Don was out of town all week on business- Ryan was in soccer camp 9am-12 and Audrey was in Little Gym Camp 9-1. On top of that Audrey had gymnastics, swim lessons and a doctors appointment and then Ryan hung out with friends two afternoons and Audrey for one.
I shudder to think of how long Kenzie and I were in the car this week- luckily my friend Christina helped me get Ryan to camp in the morning since I couldn't physically be at 2 places at once- she also helped me with pick up 2 days which made it so Kenzie could actually take a nap. My friend Amy also took Ryan for Audrey's doctors appointment so I didn't have to take all three (you wouldn't think so but there is a big difference between 2 and 3 children in a small doctors office room)
Summer is insanity with three kids who have different wants, needs and schedules- add Don being out of town and it becomes and test of my sanity.
Next week my in-laws come in to town so hopefully I will have some pictures to share- this week I was lucky to survive much less take a picture.

Final Alaska Picture- Fairbanks

Our ast stop on our Alaskan adventure was Fairbanks- We did a Riverboat tour where we learned more about the native people and sled dogs, and a gold tour where we panned for gold and learned the history of gold mining in Alaska. We stayed with my Uncle JR except for the last night where we stayed at a hotel an indoor pool. The trip was great and the kids adored (almost) every minute of it.

Audrey's 5th Birthday at Great Wolf Lodge

We went to Great Wolf Lodge for Audrey's 5th Birthday. She loved swimming like 6 hours a day, all the birthday wishes she received and pretty much everything else the whole weekend. It was a great time.

We got manicures, she was treated like a princess~!

We ended the trip with ninja turtle face paint.

A Few More from Denali

After the plane ride we had about half a day to explore Denali Park (which is the size of Massachusetts so we didn't get far). The kids earned their Denali Junior Ranger badges, we got to walk a short trail and then do some souvenir shopping. We ended up having a bit more time than we had assumed because their was a fairly major earthquake in Alaska and they had to check the track so our train to Fairbanks was delayed. This was the one part of the trip that I wish we could have extended a little bit because there is just so much to see and we didn't have time to see enough of it... I guess we will just have to go back!
