Rocking out

Don and I are trying to decide if the baby is going to be a rock star. We went to the trans Siberian Orchestra for christmas, it isn't exactly a quiet concert. The baby either freaks out or dances whenever the loud music would start again. He kicks inward which is always a good feeling, I was getting a kidney punch pretty much the whole concert. I'm going to go with the fact that the baby was rocking out so I don't feel bad for going to the concert.

20 1/2 weeks...

While we were off to a slow start with the weight gain we have more then made up for it now! The doctor said that I am right at the weight gain I should be (considering I was way behind before I must be eating plenty and should probably slow down now) Eh.. everyone gains weight at christmas right?

Though baby isn't actually here yet, HE got a lot of presents which mommy got to assemble :) Hope everyone had a lovely holiday, ours was exciting because we found out that we are having a BOY!!!!!

Getting bigger by the moment

Well... good news, I have made up for the lack of weight gain. Since Thanksgiving break started I have gained 6 pounds. The doctor tells me that this is normal and that my body is just making up for lost time... I will believe it if I don't gain 6 more pounds in the next 2 weeks. The belly is big, I took a picture but then left the camera at home. if Don can find the cord then I will post the new picture, if not then I will post it December 20th when I MOVE home.

The Winter Sick

Sorry I don't have any new pictures to post, but honestly I have been losing weight so the belly looks smaller. I have been fighting a really awful cold this last week and the week before that I had lost my appetite completely. I am actually back down to my pre-pregnancy weight now; the doctor says that it is fine so no worries. Don predicts that when I am well again I will balloon up :) I’ll post the next picture when I see some weight gain!

Week 12, Happy Halloween!

Here is a new picture, and no that is not a beer gut. (i swear it is getting bigger though it is hard to tell in pictures)

Don't hold your breath there will be no picture of a painting of a pumkin on my belly even though it is halloween.

Baby has a face!

(yes the baby's head is that big) I went to the doctor again, and I was told I am officially in the second trimester (12 weeks)! It takes a lot of pressure off, things look good. The heart rate and size of the baby are right where they should be. Yay for healthy baby. I won't be getting another ultrasound until the end of December and with that one we should be able to find out if the baby is a boy or girl!

So my belly has started growing, I can still fit into SOME of my pants, but everyday I find something new that doesn't fit. It has been interesting to try and hide it, I'm pretty sure most people that know me see a difference, but really who is going to bring up the fact that I am looking a little large around the middle.

First Post About Baby

We are having a baby! We had our first prenatal exam today, and the baby is officially due May 10th 2008. So far everything looks good, the baby is almost 2 inches long with 175 beats a minute (which the doctor said was perfect). He/she looks like a little teddy bear with arms and legs and everything.
