Last Day at the Grove

The kids are having their last day of school at the Grove today. After today our summer officially starts. Both the kids are really going to miss their teachers. They had a great year, they were loved and nurtured so well I am sad to see the year come to an end. I hope that the transitions to their new schools ends up being easier than I imagine and that they have as good of teachers as they have had this year. 

4 Months Old

Guess who turned 4 months today! She has chubbed up and is starting to have a lot more neck strength.  She has lost all her newborn look and now looks like a baby. She still gets up 2x a night (unless we wake her up to feed her at 10:30pm, then we can get away with only one feeding). She can roll onto her side. She is starting to develop a nap schedule. She is happy and content and generally only cries when something is wrong (diaper/ hungry).  She drools SO much. This month we will likely start solid foods, she will get better at sitting up and I can't wait to see what else is to come. 

Last Tball Game of the Season

Ryan had his last Tball game of the season. He and the Hooks did great and had a doughnut party with trophies to end the season. I'm not going to lie I am glad the season is over, it is HOT out there now that we are getting into the summer and the coach wasn't great (Ryan asked if I would coach next season). I will keep doing it as long as Ryan likes it, and next season Audrey will be old enough to play on the younger team.

Leigh's Birthday Girls Night

Leigh turned 40 this year (shhh it's a secret :). We decided to go all out in our celebration which included dressing up, going out to dinner (with a stop at Ben and Jerry's for dessert) and a night at a very nice hotel in Raleigh. We had a great time! Let me tell you, the only way to survive motherhood with any shred of sanity is to have friends like these!

Stormy Spring

We had a huge storm blow through the other night. There was no visibility and the wind was out of control. The next morning we woke up to find this huge tree that fell right next to our house. I feel better about making the kids hangout at the front of the house (Where there aren't any big trees) during the brunt of the storm. I'm glad the tree fell where there weren't any houses.
