Audrey's Class Halloween Parade

Audrey's class at school (and the rest of the A building) walked in a campus wide parade today. They seemed to have a great time showing off their costumes and the rest of the school cheered them on as they walked by.

Fall Festival at Uncle David's New Neighborhood

My brother just moved into a new house in Chapel Hill. We hadn't had a chance to go check it out yet and their neighborhood happened to be having a fall festival so we decided it was the perfect opprotunity to see his new place. They had BBQ, live music, playgrounds, games and such. It was really nice and the weather was perfect. We wish he lived closer but we certainly understand why he decided to move where he did.

Dentist Day

My kids LOVE the dentist... no joke, they ask all year long when their next appointments are. Ryan was bummed today he couldn't have x-rays. Who knows- apparently no one told them that most people despise going to the dentist. Good news, they were both cavity free! Though Ryan's big teeth are growing in big and there isn't enough room for the new ones to come in so in the next year or so we will have to talk about pulling some baby teeth.... he might not like the dentist as much after that... The next appointment in 6 months I will be taking 3 kids to get their teeth checked. Hopefully Ryan and Audrey's love of the dentist will rub off on Kenzie.

Audrey Class Observations

Audrey's classroom had parent observations today- we were invited to come in and have lessons from our kids on the work that they are currently doing. Audrey loved showing me her writing, calendar and number works. It was nice getting the one on one time with her to see what she is up to all day in her classroom!

Click Away 2015 Conference

Last week I went with my friend Christina to a photography conference in San Antonio Texas. It was great! We spent almost an entire week exploring Austin and San Antonio and finding inspiration from all sorts of different photographers. We flew into Austin on Tuesday where we found graffiti park, ate delicious Mexican food and stayed at an Awesome hotel with the biggest mini bar I have ever seen (it was a full sized fridge).  Wednesday afternoon we headed out to San Antonio where we the conference was being held- thanks to my dad we got to stay in the hotel where the conference was being hosted which was awesome and made life convenient. The conference was great and taught me a lot- especially about finding inspiration for photography.  While in San Antonio we explored restaurants, the River walk, The Alamo and so much more. Sunday we went back to Austin for half a day before flying home to relieve our exhausted husbands who held the families together while we were away.

Fall Day at the Museum

The weather has turned fall here and it's a treat to be outside on the sunny days! We decided to take advantage of the weather and a free day on the calendar to explore the science Museum. They have just done a major outdoor expansion that includes a massive network of tree houses and forts made out of sticks. It was a great way to wear out the kids (and the adults).
