Durham Bulls Date Night

Don and I went out for a date night to the Durham Bulls! It was a great night- we went out for dinner at Mellow Mushroom for some fantastic pizza. Then we walked over to an awesome game- a triple play, a grand slam and the first fireworks of the season. We very rarely get out just the two of us and I'm glad the stars aligned just so to make it happen. 

Updates!

I admit that I have been pretty bad at updating. The truth is that the more that goes on that I should be blogging about- the less time I actually have to blog. So let's see- quick update.

- Audrey essentially potty trained herself- I helped her for about a day and a half and then I didn't even have to remind her anymore. She can go out and in the world- and she tells me when she has to go.
- I have been on a reorganization/ redesigning kick. I have painted our dining room chairs and the living room (purple and green- no worries- different rooms!)
- We have started a garden that is actually doing very well- we planted tomatoes, potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots, strawberries, basil, rosemary, cilantro, thyme and raspberries. I thought it would expand Audrey's palette .. but so far all it has done is made her not like store bought strawberries anymore :)
- Ryan joined a tee ball league. he loves it. My friend Amy is his head coach, I am one of the coach assistants.

I will be better about updating so that everything doesn't land in one entry.

Super Hero Party

Ryan and Audrey were invited to two birthday parties last weekend. One of them was super hero training camp! Obviously this was the perfect theme for both of them. Ryan's birthday is coming up and we are having a Transformers party.

Spring has Sprung

Spring has sprung in the south. It felt like it never would, we had a chance of snow last week and this week we are in the 80's.  We have our garden planted, popsicles bought and a beach trip planned. Let the good (and sunny) times roll.
