Week of the Doctor

This week has been the week of the doctors appointments. First Kenzie had an ophthalmology appointment for her eye muscle that is too loose. It was good, and as of now we don't have to do surgery, we will go back in 5 months to reassess. Then Ryan had a dentist appointment today to get fillings. Hopefully we can slow down on all this medical stuff! 

Mason Family Visit

The Mason's came down to NC (well actually it was up from their Florida vacation). They got to see Ryan play baseball, we all went out to lunch, we played in the pool, had movie night and built a surround around our playground. It was a great time and we wish they could have stayed longer!

Neighborhood Block Party

Our neighborhood had a block party yesterday. It was fun, but way too hot so after about 30 minutes all the kids went into one backyard and did the water slide/ pool. Afterwards there were sparklers and other shenanigans. Good times had by all, we love our neighbors! 

First Day of Summer Vacation

Today is our first day of summer vacation! Don was out of town so I took the kids out to breakfast (where Ryan ordered and ate 2 meals), then we played at the playground and finally went to the pool... and that all happened before 1:00pm. Ryan then had his friend Stanley over and all the kids are now playing with the neighbors. I figure if we can do everything in one day I can take the rest of the summer off!

Kenzie on Summer Break

Since Kenzie finished school 2 weeks before the other kids, she and I have had some bonding time. She started school earlier than the other kids because I went back to work, and she is the first one that I haven't been a full time stay at home mom for. It has been nice to have some one on one time, even is she randomly decides not to nap. 

Audrey's Kindergarten End of the Year Party

Now that the kids are on summer vacation I actually have a moment to post some of the stuff that has been going on in the last few weeks. So first of all Audrey had her end of the year party. Parents were invited for Popsicle and to hear the kids sing. Audrey practiced the songs a lot at home so it was fun to watch her perform! She is now officially done with Kindergarten, now on to Lower Elementary.
